Sasakawa Peace Foundation Presents
Lecture Series on Political Change in the Middle East
Lecture 4: Singapore's Perspective on the post-Arab Spring Situation
in the Middle East
-Experts from Singapore speak on the Middle Eastern Situation- (Jan. 30, 2012
For this lecture, the fourth in the series, three Singaporean experts on Middle Eastern Islam have been invited to speak on "Singapore's Perspective on the Post-Arab Spring Siutaiton in the Middle East" in Tokyo.

Singapore is a logistical and financial hub for the people of the Middle East and South East Asia, and is in a geopolitically privileged position to obtain clear information on the Middle East situation.

The speakers at this SPF event are researchers and diplomats specializing in issues in international politics, the Middle East situation and Islam in South East Asia. They will present their views on the effects of the Arab Spring on South East Asian Muslims, as well as the current status of international exchange between the Middle East and South East Asia. The level of interpersonal exchange that takes place between the Middle East and South East Asia at present is far greater than is recognized in Japan, and this lecture will provide a unique chance to learn more about this interesting situation from a global perspective.

We hope you will join us at what promises to be an informative and entertaining event.
